Video de Sugar Crisp came out in 1949, and was the first nationally distributed pre-sweetened cereal To push the product Bill Tytla created three little bear cubs named the Sugar Bears (Handy, Dandy, & Candy) Fifteen years later, Gene Schinto was in charge of the account, and he decided the product needed a more mature spokesman So the three Sugar Bears became the ultra-cool Sugar Bear Like many of Schinto's creations, the character was based on a voice, this one provided by a comic named Gerry Matthews Nearly 45 years later, Sugar Bear's still going strong and thats Ruth Buzzi as Granny Goodwitch
