Natsume was dreaming when he was sleeping in the classroom The dream was what actualy happened to Natsume long time ago - when he was little he was suffering with himself being able to see monsters and being treated as he's a weird kid by people Then one lady came to him and she said she knew him always being alone and said like you may be able to see weird thing like I do then he felt like he didn't have to be all alone
Someone was looking for Natsume asking Natsume's friends which one was Natsume Natsume was still busy in night time getting those names on the friends name list back to monsters that's why he couldn't help sleeping at school One night Nyanko sensei came back to home being drunk He brought back one little green frog and gave it to Natsume but Natsume set it free saying never be cought by stupid Cat(Nyanko=Neko) again
When auntie triesd to go out, she said also Natsume should go somewhere cuz it's weekend and she asked if he already have some friends in this area Ans as soon as she left 2 monsters came into the house to ask Natsume to beat one human monster buster Natsume refused it one time saying it's gonna be a big problem if human beat a human Mean while Natsume started to be curious to the person - monster buster since he thought the one can see monsters like he can
But those 2 monsters kept asking him to still with no giving up So Natsume decided to listen to those 2 monsters at least Natsume started to want to see the guy thinking the one must have been feeling and going through the same way remembering about the lady who came to him and tried to understand anc accept him when he was little Then he and those monsters got attacked by one strong power to purify Nyanko sensei turned into Madara and saved Natsume, and others ran away but the place got purified and lower rank monsters became unable to come back to that area for a while
Natsume figured out that boy who was looking for him was called Tanuma and has just moved in a temple in Yatsuhara Natsume thought Tanuma was the one being the monster buster and the one has been feeling same way That lady whom little Natsume thought she was like he was and the one who undertstood him was a monster after all Little Natsume got hurt so bad with it at that time
When Natsume decided to actually go talk to that human monster, might be Tasuma, one big monster who was master of that frog Natsume saved came to ask him to get his name back, then the big one heard Natsume was on the way to go beat the monster buster, the big one 三e Misuzu tried to help Natsume since Natsume is the list holder But that monster buster was actually a monk and he's Tanuma's Dad He's been trying to purify that area since his son some times came down with evil power of monsters
Now Natsume can understand that monster lady was just tring to comfort him being nice to him and Tanuma is the one who's just like Natsume is feeling the same way And Natsume talked to Tanuma and confessed him that also Natsume can see monsters Tanuma became the very first true understanding friend for Natsume
